Iván M. Castro-Ortiz

Mr. Iván M. Castro-Ortiz joined Aldarondo & López-Bras, LLC (ALB) in 1999, and has practiced law since January, 1998. Mr. Castro-Ortiz has extensive trial experience before the Puerto Rico and federal courts, including the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico, where he actively represents debtors and creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, such as the filings of proofs of claims, and preparation of Adversary Proceedings within filed bankruptcy cases, among other tasks.

Mr. Castro-Ortiz also has substantial experience as a certified notary public in all aspects of Puerto Rico’s notarial law practice, particularly in the drafting and authorization of public deeds such as deeds of purchase and sale of real estate property; mortgage deeds; powers of attorney; homestead exemption deeds; acts of memorialization of facts; real estate property lot size rectification deeds; and pre-nuptial agreement deeds, among others.
